How do I strengthen my PS3 Network Signal without using a cable or buying a stronger router? At the moment my network connection signal is around 1% to 17%. I was wondering how i could fix this so that I can surf the internet and play games online.

First make sure your router’s antenna is at a perpendicular angle to your ps3, then try repositioning the ps3 and router so that there’s nothing electronic between them to interfere with the signal.

Then do what a lot of people do, make a signal booster. You can do this with aluminum foil. Making them parabolic is best, just like satellite dishes. They gather the signal broadcast by the router antenna and they focus it in one direction, point it at your ps3 and the strength should go up.

here’s a link with a good blueprint for making several different kinds. Scroll down to look at the picture of the one with the Linksys router, you’ll see how to set them up.

Keep in mind that routers and all WiFi use microwave radiation, the stronger you boost the signal, the more chance of it reaching a dangerous level. It’s not supposed to be risky, but I wouldn’t stand in the direction that booster is focusing those microwaves in, all the same. In fact I won’t use WiFi at all because of its frequency, just in case it turns out all the cell phone users drop dead of brain cancer in 50 years.

you can relocate your PS3, buy a Stronger router, or buy a new router and use one of them as a Access point, to boost your signal
