I am trying to connect to my(Parents) Router upstairs, I would like to not let them know I’m on this late. Anything would suffice.

Not much you can do dude - obey their rules. If they are smart parents - which it sounds like they are - they are probably logging traffic which most routers have the capability of doing.

As Edwin Starr said in his billboard chart topping performance of the song War(what’s it good for), the answer to your question is the same.

Well if they check you throught the wireless router then it’s not possible unless they use “my network places” to see if you’re on there then you could go to control panel > system properties> “computer name” tab > change > from here you could change the workgroup name which you’re computer will not appear within their same workgroup. Though this might not really help but it could fool your parents if they are not tech savvy.

You could install a hub before the router, if it is a wireless router, you have little chance of them not finding out.
