how to set up a wired xbox 360 home network without router?

is it possible to media share without a router and use a modem only? if i dont need a router, how can i set my 360 to the home network?

    Do you have a modem next to your xbox 360? if you do just connect into it then establish your connection. If not, i suggest you get a wireless thing. I wish they weren’t so expensive. :-(
