I have a at&t aircard and i was wondering if it is possible to set up a wireless network for an apartment by using it and a router. I was waiting to buy a router until i found out if it was even possible.

It is possible if the aircard you are using has the capability of transmitting on a 802.11b / g network… if it is only able to connect to the towers than its not possible… but you at&t provider or website should tell you if you card can be used on a 802.11 b/g network.

If your aircard is a pcmcia card and not a USB version then yes. The easy way to do this is to purchase one of the 3G wireless routers out there. You will then install the card directly into the router and share your internet connection using wifi just like any other wireless network in a home.
