What is the best home network router?

    The best one is the one that does the job you need it to do for the price you are willing to pay for it…get a Linksys…they are the easiest to set up and the quality for the price is excellent.

    Either a Linksys or a Buffalo router you can put Tomato firmware on. Lifehacker has a great tutorial on turning your $60 router into a $600 router.

    I went with Buffalo, so the result was a $35 router turned into a $600 one. :-D
    If you’re not looking for a project though, I’ve always thought Linksys are the easiest to work with. Netgear and D-Link also make quality products. The only brand I’d advise staying away from is Belkin.
